▶How We Figured Costs for Everyday Beers?
We looked at big packs of Carlton Dry, VB, and Great Northern. Each pack costs about $60. We added up all the beer in the pack and divided by the size of a schooner glass (425ml). Then we split the cost by how many glasses you get. It comes out to around $3 per glass!
Example for Carlton Dry: Total volume = 24 × 330ml = 7,920ml; Schooners per case = 7,920 ÷ 425 ≈ 18.64; Cost per schooner = $60 ÷ 18.64 ≈ $3.22
▶How We Figured Costs for Craft Beers?
We checked packs of Balter XPA ($64 for 16 cans), Stone & Wood ($82 for 24 bottles), and Mountain Culture Status Quo ($74 for 16 cans). We totaled the beer amount and divided by schooner size (425ml). Then we divided the price by the number of glasses. It averages about $4.80 per glass!
Example for Balter XPA: Total volume = 16 × 375ml = 6,000ml; Schooners per pack = 6,000 ÷ 425 ≈ 14.12; Cost per schooner = $64 ÷ 14.12 ≈ $4.53
